About the Position:
The Senior Sales Operations Manager is responsible for enabling sellers, aligning sales processes and technologies with the overall sales revenue goal. This is a high-level position that exercises discretion and independent judgment. This individual will continually enhance activities and procedures that support, enable, and drive the Sales team’s efficiency, thereby accelerating sales performance. Collaboration is key, as this role closely collaborates with other high-performing teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Finance. The Senior Sales Operations Manager will provide valuable insights into sales performance, facilitating the necessary changes to propel PenLink towards its revenue goals.
Responsibilities
- Leading and managing the sales operations processes, data, and insights across sales territories.
- Running the business cadence to deliver the forecast and quarterly results.
- Reporting metrics include bridge/gap analysis, rep performance (status year-to-date, forecast, upside, pipeline for the balance of the fiscal year), slipped deal analysis, etc.
- Designing and optimizing the sales operations processes, systems, and tools through innovative thinking, process improvement, and system enhancements to enhance sales effectiveness and efficiency.
- Managing and optimizing the use of Penlink CRM systems and tools to ensure accurate and timely sales data, reporting, and insights.
- Establishing and monitoring key sales metrics, dashboards, and reports to provide visibility and insights into sales performance, pipeline, and forecasting.
- Developing and leading cross-functional initiatives as required by the business.
- Driving the adoption and compliance of sales policies, procedures, and best practices across the sales organization.
- Partnering with sales leadership, finance, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and collaboration on sales planning, budgeting, compensation, and incentives.
- Partnering on the development and implementation of sales strategies, plans, and insights to drive revenue, growth, operational efficiency, and a deeper understanding of the business for strategic discussions and decisions.
- Providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership on sales performance, trends, and opportunities.
- Managing various administrative and operational functions to ensure seamless sales support and optimize processes.
- Working on multiple concurrent projects, understanding priorities, and initiating and driving projects to completion with minimal guidance.
- Serving as the point of contact for sales team members for questions and logistics.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales operations, data analytics, finance, revenue operations, or business operations in a technology company.
- Strong knowledge and expertise in sales operations processes, systems, and tools, such as Salesforce, sales forecasting, sales analytics, sales compensation, and sales enablement.
- Superior attention to detail with a proven ability to quickly, consistently, and accurately execute both standardized and ad hoc processes.
- Demonstrate strong project management skills including organization, attention to detail and ability to coordinate and interact with cross functional teams.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Strategic, analytical, and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to drive data-driven decisions and actions.
