The Job

Our next insurance leader will drive the Company’s insurance program, navigate business complexities, make informed commercial decisions, and manage financial risk, supporting the Company’s fast growth and strategic objectives. This multifaceted and essential role requires deep expertise in the insurance industry, risk management and insurance strategies, business acumen, attention to detail, and effort. The role will require navigating amongst external insurance professionals and internal legal, finance, and business personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the Company’s next-generation insurance program
  • Act as the primary liaison between external insurance professionals and internal business, legal, and finance personnel
  • Work cross-functionally to define, develop, and implement strategies as part of the Company’s larger risk management program
  • Manage all facets of the Company’s insurance program, including coverage evaluation, claims resolution, policy updates and improvements, and all other tasks traditionally part of an exceptional insurance program.
  • Foster open, respectful, and professional communication directly within the team, with co-workers/ teammates, and leaders across the organization.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in risk management, business, finance, or related quantitative field of study
  • 8+ years of relevant professional work experience with demonstrated growth
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal/relationship building) skills.
  • Ability to develop, cultivate, and maintain excellent relationships within and external to the Company

In-office role based in Miami, FL

Travel

Occasional travel may be required.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment, routinely using standard equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, and lift to 20 pounds.

Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, onsite position. General hours and days of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. some nights and weekends may be required.
