We are looking for a talented Automotive Business Development Manager to join the Automotive Business unit, to lead projects with Top Automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers from product development to serial production.

Gauzy’s Automotive Business Unit brings our diverse smart glass technologies portfolio to passenger vehicles and the railway industry, making commuting more sustainable, comfortable, and dynamic.

***Location: remote position, all US countries are relevant

Responsibilities

  • Lead high-interest technology projects from product development to serial production with Top Automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers globally and align and collaborate closely with all internal and external stakeholders on technical feasibility, quality, and target cost.
  • Build realistic project plans and –budgets and ensure that all milestones and objectives are met.
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of effective project management.
  • processes, project governance, and project controlling.
  • You are the go-to person for all technical, quality, and budget questions regarding your projects.
  • International travel will be required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years working experience with an Automotive 1st tier supplier (ideally glazing industry) or OEM in either technical key account sales, project management, engineering, or design department
  • You graduated in electric or automotive engineering or own a similar technical degree
  • Your financial acumen and an affinity for numbers help you to manage your projects to the project budgets that you developed together with the relevant stakeholders
  • You are reacting fast, flexibly, and effectively to unforeseen situations, can stand ambiguity and are resilient to stress
  • Your excellent communication skills in the English language allow you to coordinate and align internal departments (e.g. Engineering, Quality, and Production) and external partners (e.g. suppliers, integrators) with the end customers (OEMs, Tier 1) to meet the objectives
