Responsible for laying the foundation of our application from both a technical and UX perspective. Utilize technical knowledge of web application development from the ground up, along with data visualizations and other technical information overlays.
Duties:
Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of product features and design solutions within time and cost constraints.
Consult with customers or other departments on project status, proposals, or technical issues, such as software system design or maintenance.
Coordinate deployment of software and system updates to minimize disruption.
Monitor uptime and record any software bugs or unexpected problems that are encountered in the application.
Root cause analysis of bugs and other undesirable behavior. Prioritize and coordinate fixes for these issues.
Prepare reports or correspondence concerning project specifications, activities, or status.
Coordinate with stakeholders to meet deadlines and project deliverables.
Determine system performance standards and service level agreements (SLAs) for customers.
Prioritize and coordinate work with programmers, designers, technologists, technicians, or other engineering or scientific personnel.
Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or related quantitative field, plus 5 years of experience with the following:
designing and implementing data visualizations using overlays; and
building and maintaining web applications, including front-end code and designing back-end systems.
Will also accept a Master’s degree in the same fields, plus 3 years of the same experience.
Total experience must include 3 years using AWS tools and services; and SQL databases to support data visualizations; as well as 2 years with API development and maintenance.
