The Programmatic & Monetization team is seeking a hands-on Data & Identity Manager to own Minute Media's first-party data, identity, and audience infrastructure across our owned-and-operated brands (Sports Illustrated, FanSided, The Players' Tribune, 90min), our video network (STN Video), and our publisher partners. In this role, you will run the platforms, integrations, and audience pipelines that power our data business — from identity vendors and our user identity graph, through our DMP, to curated programmatic deals — and act as the operational owner and main point of contact for every data and audience vendor we work with.

The ideal candidate is a technical, detail-driven AdTech professional who is comfortable reading an ad request, debugging an ID that isn't passing, reconciling numbers with vendors, and turning first-party data into measurable revenue.

What You'll Do:

  • Own our identity provider stack end to end — integrating and optimizing identity aggregators and alternative IDs (IntentIQ, UID2, ID5, RampID, and more),
  • Working with our display wrapper and video player teams to enrich the programmatic bid stream with relevant ids and intent signals.
  • Build and grow Minute Media's user identity graph — maximizing identified users across every property and surface by driving identifier coverage in our DMP, expanding authenticated-identity capture, and stitching vendor IDs and hashed emails into unified, durable user profiles.
  • Drive our curation business and grow its share of programmatic revenue — packaging first-party audiences into curated deals and PMPs across SSP curation platforms (PubMatic, Magnite, Google AdX), running DMP-led curation and data-licensing partnerships, and owning deal setup, delivery, and monitoring.
  • Utilize our DMP to the fullest — owning signal collection and ingestion from all sources, building advanced audiences (behavioral, contextual, and bid-based cohorts), activating them across direct and programmatic channels, and proving the outcomes our first-party data delivers.
  • Serve as the internal account manager for all data and audience vendors — leading integrations with engineering, BI, and ad operations, and owning vendor budgets, invoicing, and billing reconciliation so that what we pay always matches what we measure.
  • Own audience ingestion and activation for campaigns — receiving advertiser, second-party, and third-party audiences and pushing them through our CDP, cloud pipelines, and ad server, working alongside the commercial lead on data partnerships.
  • Work closely with Legal on data privacy — making sure every vendor, activity, technical change, and data transfer we run is legally cleared and compliant.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in AdTech / data operations / programmatic advertising (Account/Partner Management, revenue operations, or AdOps). Programmatic experience is a must.
  • Strong understanding of the programmatic ecosystem (DSPs, SSPs, exchanges, identity, supply path optimization).
  • hands-on experience operating a DMP or CDP at a publisher or monetization company. - big advantage
  • Strong understanding of the identity landscape — alternative IDs (UID2, ID5, RampID), identity aggregators, hashed-email strategies, and Prebid identity modules. The ability to read an ad request and debug an ID that isn't passing is a must.
  • Experience monetizing publisher data: audience-based sales, SSP curation and PMPs, or data licensing.
  • Strong measurement instincts — designing A/B tests, challenging vendor-reported uplift, and building ROI models with rev-share mechanics.
  • Familiarity with the programmatic supply chain (Google Ad Manager/AdX, SSPs, Prebid) and with cloud data pipelines (BigQuery, Snowflake, or similar).
  • Working knowledge of data-privacy frameworks (GDPR, US state privacy laws, TCF, COPPA) as they apply to ad targeting, and comfort working alongside legal teams.
  • Ability to translate between commercial, technical, and legal stakeholders — you take partner conversations from "deal agreed" to "live and validated."
  • Organized and self-directed, comfortable owning a dozen concurrent vendor relationships and integration workstreams.
  • Experience with clean rooms / data-collaboration platforms and with video monetization is a strong plus.
  • High level of written and verbal English is a must.
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field — an advantage.

Benefits:

  • Career development opportunities & different skill-based workshops are offered each quarter.
  • Gradual return from parental leave.
  • Fun company events and celebrations.
  • Community involvement opportunities, both in-person and remote.
