DESCRIPTION

Nexar is building the next generation of smart dash-cams and a wide connected network of drivers. Our products combine cutting-edge hardware and intelligent software to deliver innovative driving experiences and safety solutions.We're looking for a detail-oriented and curious Manual QA Engineer to join our team and help ensure the quality and stability of our firmware features. You’ll work closely with the Firmware team to manually test new functionality, validate system behavior, and ensure that every release meets our high standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, execute, and maintain manual test plans for firmware features
  
• Collaborate closely with firmware engineers to understand feature requirements and edge cases
  
• Identify, document, and track bugs using Jira or similar tools
  
• Perform regression, functional, exploratory, and stress testing on firmware releases
  
• Validate system performance across various hardware configurations
  
• Provide clear, actionable feedback to improve product quality and QA processes
  
• Assist in setting up and maintaining test environments, including hardware setups
  
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and team meetings
  
  

REQUIREMENTS

Technical skills & qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in manual QA of embedded or hardware-related systems
  
• Experience writing clear and comprehensive test cases, test plans, and bug reports
  
• Comfortable using command line interface and Linux operating system
  
• Familiarity with Jira or similar bug/issue tracking systems
  
• Ability to follow engineering discussions and translate them into effective test scenarios
  
• BSc or relevant High Technical Professional Course

People skills & traits

• Strong attention to detail, persistence, and a problem-solving mindset
  
• Excellent communication skills and a team player attitude
  
  
Bonus Points

• Experience testing embedded Linux systems and using low-level debug equipment
  
• Experience with complex systems of HW\Server\App communications.
  
• Understanding of networking protocols (WiFi, BLE, TCP/UDP)
  
• Exposure to video/audio features or streaming systems
