Description

We’re hiring our Head of Forward Deployed Engineering—a player-coach who will ensure customers extract maximum value from our platform while building a stellar FDE team.

You’ll own:

  • Maximizing product value realization in customer environments
  • Building repeatable processes and hiring FDEs as we scale
  • You’ll act as an extension of the product team, testing new features, gathering feedback and feeding it back to the product, sales, and marketing departments

What Success Looks Like

You’ll help customers achieve four core outcomes:

  1. Maximize threat resilience – measurable security posture improvements (e.g., 70%+ phishing resilience gains)
  2. Maximize security stack ROI – prove value from existing security investments
  3. Reduce required expertise – enable smaller teams to achieve enterprise-grade security
  4. Improve efficiency – deliver 90% reduction in manual remediation effort

Responsibilities

Customer Delivery (40-50% Year 1)

  • Maximize product value realization in customer environments
  • Build, track, and maintain exposure remediation plans with customers
  • Run periodic exposure remediation sessions with customers
  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) demonstrating value and ROI
  • Troubleshoot technical integrations and deployment challenges
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with CISOs and security leaders

Team Building (50-60% Year 1)

  • Establish the FDE function: processes, playbooks, success metrics
  • Develop strategic operational plan for scaling FDE: define OKRs, success metrics, resource requirements, and growth roadmap
  • Hire FDEs
  • Create scalable customer engagement models
  • Feed field learnings into product roadmap, marketing, and sales

Requirements

  • 8+ years in technical customer-facing roles (Solutions Engineering, Technical Account Management, Security Consulting)
  • Track record successfully managing enterprise customers at cybersecurity product vendors that led to renewals
  • Proven experience developing strategic operational plan for scaling FDE/CS teams: define OKRs, success metrics, resource requirements, and growth roadmap
  • Deep Enterprise Security ecosystem knowledge
  • Cybersecurity domain knowledge
  • Team building experience – you’ve hired and developed technical talent
  • Executive communication – comfortable presenting to CISOs and security leadership
  • English fluency (professional working proficiency)
  • Startup experience preferred
