About the Role
We’re hiring our first Product Analyst to build and own Product Analytics. This person will play a foundational role in building how we use data to understand our product, our customers, and our business—turning analysis into clear, actionable insight that helps teams make better decisions.
You’ll work cross-functionally to define metrics, uncover opportunities, and establish shared understanding through trustworthy reporting and analysis. This is a high-ownership role for someone who enjoys building from scratch, communicating clearly, and making impact quickly.
Responsibilities
Establish Product Analytics Foundations or Build the Product Analytics Function
Establish foundational analytics practices, norms, and workflows across the organization
Define and maintain core product metrics (activation, engagement, retention, funnel conversion, etc.)
Create lightweight, scalable processes for measurement and insight generation
Deliver Actionable Insights
Analyze product behavior and business performance to identify trends, opportunities, and risks
Design and evaluate experiments and product changes (cohort analyses, pre/post analysis)
Translate complex findings into clear recommendations for product and leadership teams
Define Metrics & Measurement
Build and steward dashboards and self-serve reporting that teams actually use
Create a “single source of truth” for key business and product performance metrics
Help teams ask better questions by defining success metrics and measurement plans early
Partner Across Teams to Drive Decisions
Partner closely with Product and Engineering to ensure instrumentation and tracking are accurate and complete
Support teams with ad-hoc analysis and deep dives, balancing speed with rigor
Communicate insights through concise write-ups and presentations tailored to different audiences
Qualifications
Professional Experience
5+ years of experience in product analytics, analytics, or data analytics roles (SaaS startup or high-ownership environments preferred)
Strong communication skills—able to explain “what matters” clearly to both technical and non-technical partners
Proven ability to take ambiguous questions and turn them into meaningful analysis and decisions
High ownership mentality: proactive, dependable, and comfortable building new processes
Technical Skills
Strong SQL skills and comfort working with large datasets
Ability to perform structured analysis: funnel analysis, cohort analysis, segmentation, experimentation, and KPI definition
