We’re seeking an experienced and driven Quality Manager to lead safety-critical activities across our automotive semiconductor development programs. This role is essential to ensuring our chip designs meet stringent industry standards, including IATF 16949/ASPIRE. You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering teams to ensure compliance from concept through production, while also leading the continuous improvement of our quality management systems.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESQuality Management (IATF 16949 / ASPICE)- Support continuous improvement via PDCA, 8D, or Six Sigma methods. Lead corrective root cause analysis and corrective actions (8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa).- Coordinate with reliability and test engineers to ensure qualification plans (HTOL, ESD< Latch-up, etc.) are robust and follow JEDEC/AEC-Q100 standards.- Track defect density, escape rates, and yield learning metrics.- Supplier Quality Management- Audit and develop component and material suppliers (silicon wafers, MEMS elements, packaging houses).- Ensure incoming quality control and traceability.- Implement and optimize quality systems aligned with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.- Lead internal and supplier audits with a focus on functional safety and product quality.- Collaborate with design, verification, and validation teams to embed quality across the development lifecycle.- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including non-conformance resolution and CAPA processes.- Ensure full traceability and documentation throughout the safety lifecycle, aligning with ASPICE where applicable.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.- 8+ years in semiconductor or SoC design.- Experience with automotive-grade chip development (analog, digital, or mixed-signal).- Proven track record in implementing and maintaining quality systems per IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, especially when engaging with customers and certification bodies.ADVANTAGEOUS- TÜV or equivalent Functional Safety certification.- Familiarity with ASPICE and integration of safety processes into ASPICE-compliant frameworks.- Knowledge of automotive cybersecurity standards (ISO/SAE 21434).- Experience working with OEM-specific safety and quality requirements (e.g., VW, BMW, Toyota).LocationBoston MA (onsite)
