Established in Boston, our solid-state, chip-level innovations enable safer, more intelligent vehicles while driving breakthroughs across mobility, defense, and autonomous markets. What You’ll DoEngineering Quality & Continuous Improvement- Own product quality end-to-end on the engineering team — personally identify quality gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives from root cause to closure, pulling in engineering and manufacturing support as needed.- Design and implement process improvements to detect and prevent failures, improve efficiency, and eliminate scrap — take ownership of the improvement from analysis through implementation and validation, coordinating with process and manufacturing engineering to execute.- Lead and support APQP activities across product development phases, including control plans, PFMEAs, and process flow diagrams.- Hold engineering accountable for quality deliverables and QMS compliance — actively drive design reviews, documentation, change control, and phase-gate closure, escalating and resolving gaps directly rather than only tracking status.- Own PPAP package preparation and submission (all levels) — personally build, review, and submit packages to customers, and drive approvals and resubmissions to closure, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues. R&D-to-Manufacturing Transition- Support the transition from R&D to Manufacturing.- Review and approve DHRs for each completed system build to ensure proper documentation. PLM (Arena) Implementation- Drive implementation of the Arena PLM system within the company.- Establish templates for quality processes aligned with QMS.- Manage the PLM system to ensure ongoing QMS compliance.- Enforce QMS policy compliance within Arena (change control, design release, phase gates.) Quality Systems & Issue Resolution- Drive NCR/CAPA processes for resolution of defects, issues, and failures.- Drive root cause analysis and corrective action (8D, 5-Why) for internal and customer-reported quality issues.- Support supplier quality activities including PPAP review, SCARs, and supplier audits. What You’ll Need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field)- 3+ years of quality engineering experience in automotive or semiconductor industry- Working knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, APQP, and PPAP methodology- Experience with PLM systems (Arena preferred) and change control/document management- Experience with FMEA, control plans, and root cause/corrective action methodologies- Familiarity with AEC-Q100, PCN, and semiconductor supply chain quality concepts a plus- Strong analytical and statistical skills (SPC, Cpk)- Excellent cross-functional communication skills
