The Product Management team at WEKA is looking for an experienced Technical Marketing Engineer (TME) to support the launch of its innovative core technology and data services product. This TME will be the Go-To-Person for the customer facing team on the technical aspects of the product, services capabilities, functionality, limitations and caveats. Using his technical expertise, this person will collaborate with Competitive Marketing, Product Marketing, Product Management, and Development teams in assisting with marketing and sales initiatives. In addition to being a technical evangelist for the product, this person will be working closely with other TME’s and PM’s in the team to support key product innovation and growth projects. This role is based out of the WEKA’s office located in Bengaluru with a requirement to travel up to 20% of the time.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure technical concepts of WEKA’s Core Technology & Data Services are well understood and utilized to the greatest extent possible.
  • Hands on testing and validation of various features and use cases to ensure completeness of the product from customer’s use case perspective
  • Run various comparative analysis against similar products and identify differences and competitive technical differentiations
  • Developing product collateral such as whitepapers, case studies, and presentations that showcase the product's capabilities and value
  • Conducting competitive analysis and market research to influence product strategy and messaging
  • Tracking and reporting on product performance metrics to inform product roadmap and marketing strategies
  • Lead and Manage product beta programs and work with customers, product managers, and engineers to complete testing, gather detailed feedback, and replicate issues.
  • Work closely with Product Managers leadership and engineering and provide product feedback, ensure product features and capabilities meet customer needs and requirements
  • Work with the field team to identify key customer technical objections and develop the strategy to resolve technical impediments to transactions.
  • Support the sales team with product training and enablement, including delivering presentations and demos to customers and prospects, and complex product deployments.
  • Travel to customer sites, conferences and other engagements as required to present product solution

Requirements

  • 5+ years of work experience as a Technical Marketing Engineer or similar role
  • Have worked as a Technical Marketing Engineer in datacenter technologies including virtualization, storage, networking and/or public clouds.
  • Requires hands-on experience with designing architecture for compute/storage centric applications, container deployments and management tools like kubernetes, docker, TKG
  • The ideal candidate for a TME role will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of customer needs and market trends.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills characterized by clarity and brevity.
  • A bachelor's degree in a technical field such as engineering, computer science, or physics is typically required, and previous experience in product marketing or product management is highly desirable.
