The ideal candidate is an accomplished engineering leader with a strong background in building technology products and joint product engineering initiatives with technology partners, driving cross-functional alignment and driving an executive level collaboration. You will have strong technology/engineering leadership, strategic technology alliances and entrepreneurial skills. You can demonstrate an ability to build trust, think strategically about new technology initiatives, and show prior successes.

Key Responsibilities

You will play a pivotal role in building and managing strategic engineering relationships with key AI and HPC technology partners. This is a senior-level position within the product management organization, requiring leadership in collaborative engineering efforts across product management, R&D/engineering, GTM teams, and external partners. Your primary responsibilities will include driving joint initiatives, co-developing solutions, and ensuring the successful integration of partner technologies with WEKA’s products and technologies.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in alliance engineering, solution engineering, product management, or R&D/engineering.
• Proven experience in leading technical collaboration initiatives with partners, including joint development projects, solution co-engineering, and product integrations.
• Hands-on experience in delivering reference architectures, performance optimization/benchmarking, I/O performance tuning, partner product certifications, and setting up lab environments.
• Strong understanding of AI, HPC, data management, storage solutions, and cloud infrastructure. Experience with technologies such as NVMe, SSDs, distributed file systems, parallel computing, storage networking, high-speed interconnects, data transfer protocols (RDMA, RoCE, etc.), containers/Kubernetes, data pipelines, GPU-accelerated storage (DALI, NVIDIA RAPIDS), LLMs, RAG, model training/inference, and AI frameworks/toolkits (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, NVIDIA NeMo).
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional and cross-company engineering teams to successful outcomes.
• Previous experience in a similar role with leading AI companies, cloud providers, or enterprise storage vendors.
• Bachelor’s degree.

• Motivated self-starter with a hands-on approach, thriving in complex and challenging environments within a rapidly evolving business landscape.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate concepts effectively to cross-functional audiences.
• Project management skills, with experience in gaining consensus and driving timely deliverables with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel to meet with partners, customers, and internal stakeholders, attend events, and support field teams on-site.
• Previous experience working with cloud hyperscalers (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI) and hardware accelerator companies (NVIDIA, AMD, etc.).
