The Technical Tools Developer will play an integral role on our incredible Customer Success team by ensuring flawless analysis of complex technical issues in both a reactive and proactive capacity.
Responsibilities include:
Develop Internal Tools: Create and maintain tools that assist in monitoring, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of WEKA's data platform.
Enhance Serviceability: Implement features that improve the system's ease of maintenance, such as detailed logging, health checks, and alerting mechanisms.Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with Customer Success and R&D teams to understand their needs and translate them into effective tooling solutions.Automate Processes: Identify repetitive tasks and develop automation scripts or tools to streamline operations and reduce manual effort.Ensure Reliability: Design tools that contribute to the overall reliability and stability of the platform, facilitating quick issue resolution.Define Tooling roadmap: Assess existing tools portfolio, define strategies with respect to effective packaging and consumption of the tools in question and comprehensively outline the development roadmap.Build and maintain tools using transparent, scalable development practices with GitHub for version control, peer review, and issue tracking.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose issues and develop solutions that enhance system supportability.
Operate as a self-starter, driving projects forward independently while managing priorities and delivering results with minimal oversight. Able to collaborate with part-time contributors and build consensus
- Provide regular updates to management regarding the status of tools development status
- Participate in Proactive initiatives that help ensure the best WEKA experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve customer concerns.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies for preventing future critical issues.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Programming Proficiency: Strong skills in languages such as Python, Go, or JavaScript for tool development is a must
- Experience working with DevOps tools and methodologies is required
5+ years working in industry in DevOps/Scripting/Tools Development roles.
- Experience working with Github or equivalent source code management platforms
Technical background and experience with as many of the following technologies as possible: Networking, Storage, Linux, Public CloudsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a focus on transparencyStrong sense of ownership and rigorous follow-up mentality.Proven ability to gather feedback and requirements from internal stakeholders, ensuring tools align with team needs through regular communication, collaboration, and iterative development.
Desired Qualifications
Experience working as a Technical Support Engineer or Customer Success Engineer is highly preferredExperience creating tools focusing on technical analysis and supportability initiatives for Customer Success organizations in the IT industry is highly desirable
- Proven ability to define tooling requirements and create roadmaps aligned with business priorities is a big plus.
- Experience and/or understanding of AI terminologies & tools is a plus
