Job Description:

Summary:

The Senior Jira Administrator/Business Analyst plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of SiFive’s Jira platform. This position requires a deep understanding of Jira's features, functionality, and advanced configurations. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional support to Jira users and stakeholders. This position will also work on the broader SiFive business system ecosystem, mapping out business process flows and assisting in building out integrated solutions with the larger IT organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of Jira administration, including user accounts, groups, permissions, and security configurations.

  • Configure and customize Jira workflows, fields, screens, and dashboards to align with the organization's unique requirements.

  • Develop and implement custom scripts, plugins, and automation to enhance Jira's functionality and streamline processes.

  • Integrate Jira with other systems and applications using APIs, webhooks, and third-party integrations to create a seamless ecosystem.

  • Continuously monitor Jira's performance, availability, and resource utilization to identify and resolve potential issues proactively.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to Jira users, addressing their queries, resolving problems, and conducting training sessions.

  • Stay up-to-date on the latest Jira releases, updates, and best practices to ensure the platform remains optimized and secure.

  • Gather, analyze, and document business system requirements from stakeholders

  • Discover business system processes and document then in standardized flowcharts and as a resource for business leaders

  • Develop and present solution recommendations to stakeholders

  • Test and validate solutions to ensure they meet business requirements

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of solutions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in Jira administration, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional results.

  • In-depth knowledge of Jira's features, functionality, and advanced configurations.

  • Experience with scripting, coding, and API integrations within Jira.

  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience with API integration platforms such as MuleSoft or Boomi a plus

Additional Information:

  • This position requires the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to support Jira users and stakeholders.

  • The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of software development principles and best practices.

  • Experience with cloud-based Jira deployments and SaaS integrations is highly desirable.
