Job Description:

SiFive is creating RISC-V based CPU IPs faster and cheaper than ever before by combining the best practices of rapid, iterative software design with the proven fidelity of hardware engineering. The Software Verification Intern will work with a team of seasonal verification engineers to understand state-of-the-art technologies of CPU verification. You will have a chance to understand the verification process from creating test plans and unit test benches, executing tests to ensure the design captures the architect’s intent, and finally ensuring verification quality through coverage metrics and other means.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for adopting state-of-the-art verification methodologies to in-house designs in order to ensure that everything on SiFive’s integrated circuits work as intended.

• Understand the component parts of the system, create test plans and unit test benches, execute tests to ensure the design captures the architect’s intent, and finally ensure verification quality through coverage metrics and other means.

• Apply new language features to existing code bases to improve generated verification code.

• Build and refine build and CI/CD pipelines to increase automation for verification activities.

• Possess the curiosity to learn state-of-the-art technologies while developing IP with more speed and agility than any other company.

Requirements:

• BSCS or MSCS (or equivalent experience).

• Experience with CI/CD and build pipelines

• Experience with functional programming principles.

• Experience with software release processes.

Nice to have: (if needed)

* Experience with some of git, python, scala, C, OCaml (or other ML-family languages)

* Basic familiarity with Verilog.
